3DVA Topic 4 (Rigging)

Reverse foot lock

Rigging Process Steps:

Completed Rig with Joints Shown!

1st Pose: Ballet pose!

2nd Pose: Bowing

3rd pose: Praying

Reflection:
This exercise was rather hard to kope with. The reason why is that the videos were too long, the version and the model is so different. A simple mistake at the end will end up screwing up the whole joints and will have to redo it again. I understand how  joints work now after doing it 2-3 times which was very frustrating.
For the process steps, the steps were too long to describe the whole 19 video work. The screenshots were halfway done as I had to redo quite a few times, my last and final try succeed, however there isn't any process as I was rushing through.
These are my 3 poses and also a completed outlook of my rig before I've done any poses.

Reflection:
I think that this model is much better compared to the Spiderman model. The joints are in the right position, the controls over the model is more flexible and more straight forward. What I meant by straight forward means that If I want the leg to be in this pose, I can just move it to that particular pose. However, for the Spiderman model, the joints are that as smooth and exact.

In conclusion, this exercise allowed me to practice posing the models so that it will help me in the future for animation purpose.
